Partnering opportunities
There is a huge burden of cancer in our country. Over the next decade, India will face significant increase in the number of cancers diagnosed, due to an ageing population, increased screening, and better public health education. Despite some improvements in access and better treatments, cancer survival outcomes still lag behind in much of the developed world.
The impact of the disease is way more in the North East Region (NER) because of high incidence of the disease. Assam which is home to 70% of the population in the NER, reported an incidence of 31,825 cancer cases in 2016. The actual number of cancer cases, given the incidence rates reported by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), will be actually close to 60,000 patients annually.
Delivering improved comprehensive cancer care is a high priority for the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts.
ACCF, an initiative of the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts is working to offer affordable, accessible and uniform high quality cancer care, through a unified technology platform to the patients in Assam and the North East states.
This is a magnanimous task and requires participation at all levels.
We invite partners who are keen on making a positive difference in the lives of cancer patients to collaborate with us and join our vision.
