s we come together on this World Cancer Day 2025, guided by the theme “United by Unique,”
AI am proud to share the initiatives that ACCF’s Community Outreach Program has planned
for the year. Community Outreach Program has always been about engaging with individuals and
communities in meaningful ways, creating opportunities to share, inspire, and support one another.
These activities reflect our commitment to building a compassionate and supportive community
                   for those impacted by cancer.
This year, we are launching three key initiatives aimed at creating a space for connection,
                   empowerment, and hope:
Story Writing Competition : Every cancer journey is unique, and every story holds the power to
              MESSAGE
inspire. Through this competition, we invite COP team and ACCF hospital staffs to share their
experiences of dealing with patients, taking through their unique journey. Whether it’s a story of
triumph, resilience, or even the challenges faced, these narratives will highlight the strength and
hope that unite us all. All stories will be published across ACCF platforms, amplifying voices of resilience and hope.
Wall of Hope : As a continuous initiative, the Wall of Hope will be a tribute to cancer survivors. Set up in every ACCF hospital,
it will display stories and messages from those who have faced and overcome the challenges of cancer. This activity is not just
a celebration of survival but a beacon of hope for patients currently undergoing treatment. It reminds us all that there is light
                   even in the darkest moments.
Support Groups for Cancer Patients : Facing cancer can be an isolating experience, but no one should have to go through it alone.
Launching Support Groups for Cancer Patients will provide a safe and understanding space where patients can share their
challenges, exchange advice, and find emotional support from others who truly understand their journey. These groups will be
comprised of cancer survivors, families of cancer deceased and COP team members. The group will be facilitated by respective
hospital COP team to ensure that every participant feels heard, supported, and empowered. The objective to motivate all cancer
patients during their unique journey and remove stigma in the community.
Through these initiatives, we aim to amplify voices that are often unheard, foster connections between individuals, and create
a sense of community that transcends boundaries. We believe that these small but significant steps will strengthen our shared
fight against cancer, recognizing the power of unique voices and collective support.
I encourage each of you to take part in these activities. Whether by joining a support group, sharing your story, or visiting a Wall
of Hope to leave a message, your involvement can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Together, we can create an
environment where no one feels alone, and every individual feels valued and empowered.
Thank you for your support and commitment as we work toward a brighter, cancer-free future.
                                                                                                                    Warm regards,
                                                                                                                Dr Subrata Chanda,
