At Assam Cancer Care Foundation, we are working towards creating state-of-the art cancer care centres to provide standardised, affordable and quality care closer to patients’ homes. We are constantly guided by our vision to transform cancer care by focusing on four pillars, which are- i) enhanced access, ii) uniform high quality care, iii) affordable care, iv) awareness, early detection and palliative care.

This translates into the following attitudes and competencies that we look for in our applicants:

• Ability to work happily with the local population and the poorest of poor
• Empathetic and helpful attitude in handling and guiding the patient’s family and caregivers
• Comfortable with rural surroundings
• Ability to multi-task and take up responsibilities beyond the scope of the exact role
• Satisfaction in working towards reducing the impact and incidence of the disease
