          A LIFE OF HOPE




              ongaigaon, a quiet district of Assam where a group of dedicated healthcare
          Bprofessionals including ACCF team, had embarked on a noble mission to
          conduct cancer screenings in remote villages across the region. Our primary
          goal was to raise awareness about cancer, provide essential information about
          available medical facilities and offer support to those who might be struggling
          with financial barriers to treatment.
          During one of our visits to a village, we held a detailed session with the villagers,
          explaining the various cancer care centres in the area, the treatment options
          available and how health workers could assist them in navigating the healthcare
          system. ACCF team also emphasized the importance of early detection and the
          various screenings they could access. By the time we left the village, ACCF team
          felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that we had equipped the community
          with vital information that could potentially save lives.

          Several weeks passed before we received a call that would deeply impact us.
          A man, who had been struggling with persistent difficulty in swallowing and
          unexplained  weight  loss,  approached  one  of  our  health  workers.  Concerned
          about his symptoms, he had visited the nearest civil hospital, where after a series
          of tests, the doctor suggested that his condition could be cancer. The diagnosis
          was not yet confirmed but the possibility of cancer left him and his family in a state of panic. The fear of an uncertain future
          was compounded by the overwhelming financial burden they faced. With limited resources, they were unsure how they
