scars, but they were a testament to my fight, my courage and my will to live.
The final meeting with the COP team was bittersweet. I hugged Mrs. Anita tightly, tears streaming down my face. “You saved
my life,” I whispered . She smiled, her own eyes glistening. “Reema , you saved your life by choosing to fight. We were just here
to walk with you.”
Today, I’m back to my routine, stronger and more grateful than ever. The experience changed me profoundly. I now volunteer
at the Cancer Center, sharing my story to encourage other women to prioritize their health and face their fears.
Cancer no longer defines me – hope, resilience and the love of my family and community does. The journey wasn’t easy, but it
was worth it. And for that, I’ll always be grateful to the Dibrugarh Cancer Center and its compassionate COP team.
