WORLD CANCER DAY: A MESSAGE OF HOPE
As World Cancer Day approached on February 4, 2025, the COP team hosted an awareness event in No. 1 Bahupathar, inspired
by Mr. Baruah’s resilience. He graciously agreed to share his story.
The event, held at the local school, saw a heartwarming turnout. Families, children, and elderly villagers gathered to learn
about cancer prevention and early detection.
When it was his turn to speak, Mr. Baruah addressed the crowd with quiet confidence:
“I ignored the signs for too long,” he admitted. “But I was lucky. I had people who cared enough to push me to get help. Don’t
wait until it’s too late. If you notice anything unusual, get it checked.”
