          for both the outreach team and her community.

          Rajen Narzary’s Battle: Rajen Narzary, a financially struggling patient from Dakshin Gongia, Mahendrapur, was initially
          unable  to  afford  transportation  for  radiation  therapy  at  Kokrajhar  Cancer  Centre.  The  COP  team  intervened,  providing
          counseling and arranging ambulance services. They also sought financial assistance from local representatives, ensuring
          Rajen could complete his treatment. His story highlights the importance of logistical and financial support in overcoming
          barriers to cancer care.

          ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE OUTREACH PROGRAM
          •   500+ awareness camps conducted
          •   10,000+ residents screened for cancer
          •   500+ patients diagnosed and treated for cancer
          •   90% increase in cancer awareness among rural residents

          By breaking stigmas, educating communities, and fostering early detection, the outreach team has saved countless lives and
          brought hope to rural Assam.

          On this World Cancer Day, the Kokrajhar Cancer Centre and its outreach team reaffirm their commitment to combating cancer
          in rural communities. Their efforts demonstrate that united action—combining awareness, medical care, and community
          support—can transform lives and create a healthier future for all.
