CHAPTER 1: THE UNSEEN STRUGGLE

In the forest village of Bharti, nestled along the Indo-Bhutan border, lived
an old man named Arjun. His home, within the boundaries of a national
park, was a serene yet remote place that offered little comfort to a man
battling illness. Arjun had led a simple life, working long hours in the
fields to earn a meager wage. His daily earnings barely covered the cost
of rice, dal, and vegetables. Life was hard, but manageable—until his body
began to betray him.
It started with numbness in his right limb, a strange tingling that spread
from his hands to his feet. Then came blurry vision, followed by the

UNITED IN complete loss of sight in one eye. Despite these worsening symptoms,
Arjun continued to work. He was too proud to admit how badly his health
OUR GOALS was failing. But when his wife, Meera, noticed the deep shadows under
UNIQUE IN his eyes and his faltering steps, she insisted he see a doctor.
