management offered minimal support, and accessing proper treatment required traveling to a cancer care center far from
home. Yet, Mrs. XYZ refused to give up.

With the help of the District Coordinator and the Community Outreach Program (COP) team of ACCF, she was transported to
the Darrang Cancer Centre for further tests. There, she was diagnosed with oral cancer. The center provided her not only with
medical treatment but also with counseling and emotional support. The healthcare team worked tirelessly to ensure she had
access to the best possible care despite her humble background.

Mrs. XYZ’s story is not just one of struggle but of resilience. Her determination to overcome the odds inspired others in her
community to prioritize their health. Today, she is an advocate for cancer awareness, urging her fellow laborers to attend
regular screenings and seek timely medical help.
Her journey underscores the urgent need for improved healthcare infrastructure in tea gardens, especially in cancer care. It is
a call to action for all of us to ensure that no one, regardless of their socio-economic background, faces such a battle alone. Her
story has become a symbol of hope and the need for better healthcare systems in tea gardens. Under the theme of World
Cancer Day 2025, “United by Unique,” Mrs. XYZ’s journey highlighted how every person’s battle with cancer is unique, shaped
by their environment, access to care, and personal resilience.
Her voice has become a call to action for improving healthcare access in marginalized communities like tea gardens. As her
story was shared, it inspired systemic changes, encouraging mobile cancer screening units and awareness campaigns to reach
          remote areas.

As she smiled with hope and gratitude, Mrs. XYZ reminded everyone that no one fights cancer alone. United, we are stronger.
