The Story of Sumati Das

t the age of 47, Sumati Das’ life took an unexpected and painful turn. What
Abegan as a sudden, unexplained pain in her breast soon evolved into a fight
for survival. Initially, she sought comfort in traditional Ayurvedic treatments,
hoping that a natural approach would bring relief. But despite her efforts, the
pain persisted, and her condition worsened.
Desperate for answers, Sumati traveled to Dimapur for surgery, hoping
it would offer a solution. However, after the procedure, she found
herself still in pain, uncertain of what steps to take next. With
no improvement, she sought further medical attention at
BBCI, where a biopsy and CECT scans were conducted. The
results revealed the gravity of her situation—something was
seriously wrong, and the need for urgent medical care was even
more apparent.
Despite this, Sumati’s determination remained steadfast. She
returned to Ayurvedic treatment one more time, but the results were
disheartening. Her health continued to decline, and it became clear
that more aggressive options were necessary.
